Great safari and half day with Sanju

A beautiful trip with an excellent driver
Let me start by saying we didn’t book a jeep safari. We hired Sanju as our driver to take us from Sigirya to Kandy with 2 stops en route. Firstly, the communication was prompt and transparent and Sanju arrived to pick us up on time. We had asked to stop at an elephant orphanage but he listened to what we wanted from the experience and took us to the Pinnawala elephant sanctuary where we washed the elephants in the river and had a little ride. Next stop was Ambaluwawa temple. It was Sri Lanka Independence Day so unfortunately it was really busy. Most people took a tuk tuk or walked to the last point for vehicles because it is very very steep and even the tuk tuk drivers struggled and had to zig zag the route. But Sanju was super confident in his abilities and drove us up there! It’s a remarkable place and definitely shouldn’t be missed but avoid public holidays! The drive to Ella was beautiful and we stopped for toilet breaks and lunch. Along the journey we saw some spectacular views and Sanju was more than happy to stop and allow time for photos. Taxi to the airport

Wonderful daytrip to Polonnaruwa

Great driver and person to guide you through Sri Lanka!
Very good driver who takes all the time in the world for you to see what you want to see. He even stopped at a little temple to say a few prayers to keep us, him and the car safe.
